These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as the "Terms") are provided by eDiary software (hereinafter referred to as "we" or "eDiary") to clarify the rights and obligations you (hereinafter referred to as the "user") have when using our software and services. Please read the following terms carefully before using our services. Your use of the services will be deemed as acceptance and agreement to be bound by these terms.

1. Service Overview

eDiary is a diary software focused on user privacy protection, offering services such as text editing, information organization, local encrypted storage, and (for members) multi-device data cloud synchronization. We are committed to ensuring the security and privacy of user information through strict data encryption technology.

2. User Account and Password

  • Users are responsible for keeping their account information and password secure. We are not responsible for account theft or password leakage due to personal reasons.
  • For member users who choose to use the cloud synchronization service, the setting and management of the cloud service password are also the user's responsibility. Loss of the password will result in the invalidation of cloud data. In such cases, we do not provide cloud data recovery services.

3. Data Storage and Encryption

  • User data is strictly encrypted and stored locally by default and is not uploaded to any server.
  • Member users can choose to enable the cloud synchronization service. The server encrypts the cloud data using the user's cloud service password as the key. No third party (including eDiary official) can decrypt user data.
  • Due to the nature of data encryption, we do not provide local password cracking or data recovery services.

4. AI Writing Assistant

  • eDiary provides an AI writing assistant function to assist users in diary creation. The content generation is based on user input and publicly available data models and does not involve direct analysis or utilization of user personal data.

5. Service Fees and Refunds

  • The eDiary software itself is provided free of charge to users, and users can enjoy free software upgrade services.
  • For value-added services such as cloud synchronization, we will charge corresponding fees according to the membership plan. Once the service is sold, unless the service is interrupted or cannot be used normally due to our unilateral reasons, no refund will be provided.
  • We may hold promotional activities from time to time, and the details and terms of the offers will be subject to official announcements.

6. User Privacy and Data Security

  • We promise not to collect, use, or share any personal data of users unless required by law or explicitly authorized by the user.
  • The processing of user data strictly follows relevant laws and regulations and the provisions of these terms to ensure full protection of user privacy rights.

7. Service Interruption and Changes

  • We reserve the right to temporarily interrupt or change services due to technical upgrades, system maintenance, or legal requirements, and will notify users in advance and minimize the impact on users.
  • We are not responsible for any service interruption caused by force majeure.

8. Content Standards

  • Users promise not to publish or disseminate any illegal, pornographic, violent, defamatory, or content that infringes on the rights of others when using eDiary services.
  • We reserve the right to take action against violations of content guidelines, including but not limited to deleting infringing content, suspending, or terminating services.

10. Others

  • We reserve the right to revise these terms, and the revised content will be published on official channels. Once published, it will be deemed as notifying users.
  • Continued use of the service by users will be deemed as acceptance of the revised terms.
